Our Rooms

We purchased the Squaw Valley Motel in early 2016. Originally built in 1950 as a small highway motorcourt, the motel offered a total of 8 rooms and it was in dire need of a face lift. To date (June 2023), we have completed the remodeling all of the rooms. The rooms have been extensively rebuilt with new sound walls, flooring, and finishes. Our goal was to create a step back in time, but with modern amenities. As our rooms are small, we have tried to focus on a visually appealing rustic design with attention to good functional use of the available space. Each of the rooms feature tongue & groove wood accent walls, heartwood redwood baseboards and window surrounds, and ceiling treatments with wood crown molding and lighted ceiling fans. The bathrooms have all new antique style bowl vanities with wood grain tile floors and invigorating H2O kinetic showerheads. Each room has a new flat screen TV with Direct TV satellite service, free WiFi service, and in-room coffee and hair dryers.

At present, we have 4 single queen rooms, 2 double queen rooms, a handicap accessible double queen, and 1 single queen suite available. The single queen suite features a separate sitting room and kitchenette with a wood corner table booth. This area can be isolated with an authentic antique sliding barn door. The sofa converts to a sleeper bed.  (Pictures below)
